REFRACTORIES - Key Technology and its Applications

The seminar „REFRACTORIES - Key Technology and its Applications“ from 20th - 22nd June 2023 is aimed both at experienced refractory users or employees of refractory manufacturers who want to get to know other sectors, and at beginners in the refractory industry or in the industries in which refractory products are used.

Basic knowledge about materials technology is helpful but not required, as the basics are explained in the first part of the seminar

The seminar consists of two consecutive parts, each running 1.5 days. In the first part, the basics of raw materials, production, characteristics and installation of refractory materials and products are taught. The different classes of refractory materials and their typical representatives are presented.

In the second part, experts from the process industry report on the specific applications of refractory products in the most important industrial sectors, on the materials used and on the special challenges with the transition to climate neutrality in industrial production.
